Virtual reality and poetry tested as Drug-Free pain relief after knee surgery
NCT ID NCT07375472
Summary
This study tested whether simple distraction methods could help adults manage pain after knee replacement surgery. Researchers compared using a virtual reality headset, squeezing a squishy toy, or reading poetry to standard care alone. The main goal was to see if these activities reduced pain levels one day after surgery.
