Summary
This study tests whether showing a virtual reality smoking cessation program to smokers during a dental cleaning appointment encourages them to use proven quit-smoking services. About 440 cigarette smokers scheduled for a cleaning at a Boston dental school will take part. Half will watch the VR program, and half will not. Researchers will track how many people use quitlines, text programs, or clinic services within 7 months.
