Scientists test VR beer smells to fight alcohol addiction
NCT ID NCT07388693
Summary
This study is testing whether adding realistic smells like beer and wine to virtual reality therapy is practical and tolerable for people trying to manage alcohol dependence. Researchers want to see if this multi-sensory approach can safely trigger and help people learn to cope with alcohol cravings in a controlled setting. The small trial will involve 20 participants to check if the technology works well before larger studies.
