Virtual vacation: 15-Minute VR nature break eases student stress

NCT ID NCT07447310

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

Medical students often feel stressed and anxious but have little time to relax outdoors. This study tested whether watching a 360-degree VR video of a nature scene for just 15 minutes could help. 82 students viewed either a familiar local scene or an overseas scene twice over two weeks. Researchers measured changes in stress, anxiety, depression, and well-being to see if a quick virtual escape can provide real relief.
