Virtual escapes ease Chemotherapy's harsh reality
NCT ID NCT06844695
Summary
This study tested whether taking a virtual tour of a museum using VR glasses could help patients feel better during chemotherapy. Sixty-four patients receiving chemo were split into two groups: one group took weekly 20-minute VR museum tours for five weeks, while the other received only standard care. Researchers measured changes in pain, fatigue, and anxiety to see if the immersive distraction provided any relief.
