VR headsets offer new hope for toughest cases of depression

NCT ID NCT07422519

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a virtual reality (VR) mindfulness program to standard medication helps people with depression that hasn't responded to other treatments. Thirty participants will be randomly assigned to receive either their usual medication plus eight VR mindfulness sessions or just their usual medication alone. Researchers will check if the combined approach better reduces depression symptoms and is well-tolerated over a six-month period.
