Virtual reality eases pain of Post-Surgery tube removal
NCT ID NCT05585853
Summary
This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) glasses could help reduce pain and keep vital signs stable when a chest tube is removed after open heart surgery. Researchers compared 82 patients who used VR glasses during the procedure to patients who received standard care. They measured pain levels and vital signs like blood pressure and heart rate before, during, and after the tube was taken out.
