First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated Jun 04, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested whether wearing virtual reality glasses for 30 minutes each evening could improve sleep quality and reduce anxiety in intensive care patients with COPD. Fifty adults in the ICU were split into two groups: one received the VR sessions for a week, while the other got standard care. Results showed that VR may help patients sleep better and feel less anxious, with no major risks reported.
