Virtual reality fights germs: can a game teach kids to stop COVID-19?

NCT ID NCT07168759

Summary

This study is testing whether a virtual reality (VR) game can effectively teach primary school children better hygiene habits, like proper handwashing, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory viruses. Researchers will enroll over 2,000 children in Hong Kong, with half playing the educational VR game and half receiving standard health lessons. They will measure changes in the children's knowledge, handwashing behavior, and the actual amount of bacteria on their hands to see if the game makes a difference.
