Virtual reality could help stroke survivors walk again in the real world

Summary
This study tests a new virtual reality (VR) walking therapy for people who have had a stroke within the past 1 to 6 months. Participants will use either a fully immersive VR system that lets them walk over ground in realistic environments, or a semi-immersive VR system on a treadmill. The goal is to see which approach better improves walking ability, activity levels, and quality of life.
