VR goggles ease Teens' pain after major back surgery
NCT ID NCT06101264
Summary
This small study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) could help teenagers feel less pain and need fewer strong painkillers after surgery to correct scoliosis (a curved spine). Teens aged 13-18 played a calm VR game before their physical therapy sessions while recovering in the hospital. Researchers wanted to see if this distraction helped with pain and getting moving again.
