Virtual reality eases Kids' fears before surgery, study finds

NCT ID NCT07280910

Summary

This study looked back at data from a hospital program that used virtual reality (VR) to help children feel less anxious before surgery. It involved 168 children aged 6 to 15. The main goal was to see if the VR experience lowered the kids' anxiety, measured by their heart rate, blood pressure, and fear scores, and to check if it also helped their parents and nurses.
