Virtual reality glasses offer calm for critically ill lung patients

NCT ID NCT07475650

Summary

This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) glasses could help patients with severe COPD (chronic lung disease) who are in the intensive care unit (ICU). Fifty patients were split into two groups: one group used VR for 30 minutes each night for a week, while the other received standard care. Researchers measured the patients' sleep quality, anxiety levels, and vital signs to see if the VR sessions made a difference.
