Virtual reality eases painful endometriosis exams
NCT ID NCT07328061
Summary
This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) during a transvaginal ultrasound could make the procedure less stressful and painful for women with endometriosis. 155 women were randomly assigned to either use a VR headset designed for relaxation or to have the standard exam. Researchers measured changes in anxiety and pain levels before and after the procedure to see if VR helped.
