Virtual worlds ease real pain in egg freezing trial
NCT ID NCT07484815
Summary
This study is testing whether using relaxing virtual reality (VR) before an egg retrieval procedure can help reduce pain. Women undergoing elective egg freezing are randomly assigned to receive either standard care or standard care plus a 20-minute VR session with calming nature scenes. Researchers will measure pain levels before and after the procedure to see if VR provides a simple, drug-free way to improve comfort.
