Virtual reality goggles target Crohn's pain
NCT ID NCT06647615
Summary
This small pilot study from the Mayo Clinic is testing whether using virtual reality (VR) headsets can help reduce abdominal pain in people with Crohn's disease who still have pain even when tests show their inflammation is under control. About 15 participants will use a VR headset daily for 8 weeks to see if it eases their pain and improves their quality of life. The main goal is to check if VR is safe and tolerable, and if it can reduce average pain scores by at least 25%.
