Virtual reality headsets mailed to homes to fight back pain

NCT ID NCT04409353

Summary

This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) programs at home could help people manage chronic low back pain. Over 400 participants were randomly assigned to receive one of three types of VR therapy or a sham program, along with a Fitbit to track activity. Researchers measured changes in pain levels, daily function, and medication use over 90 days to see if VR provided meaningful relief.
