VR headsets offer escape from chemotherapy stress

NCT ID NCT06446115

Summary

This study is testing whether using a virtual reality (VR) headset during a single chemotherapy session can help reduce the distress, anxiety, and pain that often come with cancer treatment. 70 adult cancer patients will be randomly assigned to either use VR or choose a standard relaxing activity like reading during their treatment. The goal is to see if the immersive VR experience provides better relief from the psychological burden of chemotherapy.
