Virtual reality goggles aim to ease pain and fear for cancer patients

NCT ID NCT07384741

Summary

This study is testing if wearing virtual reality (VR) goggles can help reduce anxiety and pain for adult cancer patients getting a PICC line or port placed for treatment. 120 patients will be randomly assigned to either receive the VR experience during the procedure or to receive standard care alone. The goal is to see if this immersive distraction makes the procedure more comfortable without using extra medications.
