Virtual reality goggles aim to calm cancer patients during medical procedures

NCT ID NCT07384741

Summary

This study is testing whether using virtual reality (VR) goggles during a medical procedure can help cancer patients feel less anxious and experience less pain. The procedure involves placing a special type of IV line called a PICC or a port, which is common for cancer treatment but can be stressful. Researchers will compare 120 patients, with half using VR during the procedure and half receiving standard care, to see if the VR makes a difference.
