First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study explores whether virtual reality (VR) can help people with cancer manage chronic pain and possibly reduce their need for opioid painkillers. Researchers will work with 25 adults who have active cancer and moderate-to-severe pain to develop and test a VR program designed to distract and relax. Participants will use a VR headset for at least 10 minutes daily over one week to see if it is practical and helpful.
