NCT ID NCT07323498

First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a guided imagery exercise after a virtual reality (VR) speech practice session helps people with public speaking anxiety feel less fearful in new situations. About 48 adults with high speech anxiety will do one VR speech session, then either mentally rehearse it or use imagery to imagine speaking in different settings. One to two weeks later, they will give short speeches in real life and VR to see if the effects carry over.
