First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding reward-focused exercises to exposure therapy helps people with public speaking anxiety more than standard exposure alone. Forty adults with high fear of public speaking took part. Researchers measured their anxiety before, during, and after treatment using questionnaires and a practice speech. The goal was to see if focusing on positive experiences makes facing fears more effective.
