First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding virtual reality (VR) exercises to standard therapy can improve walking, daily function, and quality of life in people with chronic leg swelling (lymphedema) after cancer surgery. About 40 adults aged 18-65 with stage 2 or 3 lymphedema will use a VR treadmill system alongside their usual care. The goal is to see if the engaging VR environment helps them walk better and reduces swelling.
