First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tested whether using immersive virtual reality (VR) combined with task-specific training could help people who had a stroke move their affected arm better. Thirteen adults who had a stroke at least six months earlier and had limited arm movement took part. The approach used a VR environment to encourage and practice arm movements, and the amount of movement was measured before and after the training.
