New dissolvable vonoprazan tablets tested for better dosing

NCT ID NCT06831344

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looked at two new dissolvable forms of vonoprazan (a stomach acid reducer) to see how well the body absorbs them compared to the regular tablet. Twenty-five healthy adults took single doses of each form, some without water and some mixed with water given by syringe. The goal was to find out if these new versions work just as well, which could make taking the medicine easier for people who have trouble swallowing pills.
