Summary
This study compares a very-low-calorie ketogenic diet (VLCKD) to a standard Mediterranean diet in 100 adults with severe obesity and metabolic syndrome. Researchers will track weight, blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, and artery health over 36 months to see which diet leads to better long-term control of weight and heart disease risk factors.
