Summary

This study compares a very-low-calorie ketogenic diet (VLCKD) to a standard Mediterranean diet in 100 adults with severe obesity and metabolic syndrome. The goal is to see which diet leads to better weight loss and improved heart health over 36 months. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two diets and monitored for changes in weight, blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, and other health markers.
