First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding high-dose vitamin D3 to standard anti-TNF therapy can help control active inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. About 100 adults starting anti-TNF treatment will receive either vitamin D3 or a placebo for 14 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in symptoms, gut bacteria, and inflammation markers to see if vitamin D3 improves outcomes.
