Scientists probe vitamin D's role in dialysis Patients' heart risk

NCT ID NCT07200804

Summary

This completed study looked for a connection between vitamin D levels in the blood and early signs of heart disease in people receiving long-term dialysis. Researchers enrolled 90 adult patients to measure their vitamin D and check for artery hardening. The goal was to gather information to understand if low vitamin D might be related to the high heart disease risk seen in this patient group.
