Can daily supplements stop dangerous heart flutters?
NCT ID NCT02178410
Summary
This large study is testing whether taking daily vitamin D or fish oil supplements can prevent atrial fibrillation, a common type of irregular heartbeat, in healthy adults. It involves over 25,000 U.S. men and women who don't have a history of heart disease. Researchers are tracking participants for several years to see if these common supplements reduce the risk of developing this heart rhythm problem.
