Vitamin d levels linked to artery health in kidney patients

NCT ID NCT07200804

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 38 times

Summary

This study looked at whether vitamin D levels in the blood are related to early signs of artery disease in people on hemodialysis. Researchers measured vitamin D and artery thickness in 90 adults who had been on dialysis for at least 6 months. The goal was to see if a connection exists, not to test a treatment. Results may help guide future research on vitamin D and heart health in kidney patients.
