Summary

This study tested whether taking a moderate dose of vitamin D (4,000 IU daily) could lower the chance of getting COVID-19 compared to a low dose (400 IU daily). Over 2,000 adults from the Chicago area and other US communities took part. Participants reported any COVID-19 infections over 12 months.
