Scientists deplete then replenish vitamin c in volunteers to map Body's response
NCT ID NCT00001309
Summary
This study aimed to understand how the body absorbs and uses vitamin C. Researchers first put healthy young adults on a low vitamin C diet, then gradually gave them increasing doses, both by mouth and by injection. They closely measured vitamin C levels in the blood and urine to see how the body responded to different amounts.
