High-Dose vitamin c infusions tested in fight against aggressive brain cancer

NCT ID NCT04900792

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing if adding high-dose vitamin C (given by IV) and an iron-based drug called ferumoxytol to the standard treatment for glioblastoma brain tumors is safe and helpful. The study involves about 17 adults who have just been diagnosed. The main goal is to find the safest dose of the iron drug to use in future research, while also checking if the combination might help control the tumor and improve survival.
