NCT ID NCT06710899
First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This early study tests whether adding vitamin C to the drug methenamine hippurate (Hiprex®) helps prevent repeat urinary tract infections (UTIs) in women. Twenty women with frequent UTIs will take Hiprex alone for six months, then Hiprex plus vitamin C for another six months, and the number of infections will be compared. The goal is to see if vitamin C makes the drug work better.
