Vitamin c could be a simple, safe painkiller for ER patients

Summary

This study tests whether vitamin C can reduce pain from recent muscle, sprain, or fracture injuries in emergency patients. About 204 adults with moderate to severe pain will receive either vitamin C or a placebo for three days. The goal is to see if this cheap, safe vitamin can offer a new option for pain relief and cut down on opioid use.
