New visual tool aims to save lives of suicidal autistic youth
NCT ID NCT07333014
Summary
This study is testing a specially designed visual safety plan to help autistic teenagers manage suicidal thoughts and self-harm. Researchers will recruit 90 autistic teens who have recently had suicidal thoughts and randomly assign them to receive either the new visual plan plus usual care or just usual care. The goal is to see if the visual tool is practical, acceptable to users, and shows early signs of helping reduce suicidal thoughts and behaviors.
