Falls and failing eyesight: new study aims to spot vision problems in older patients
NCT ID NCT06645080
First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at how to better check the eyesight of older adults (65+) who come to the hospital after a fall. Poor vision can increase the risk of falling, but many hospitals don't follow guidelines to screen for it. Researchers will talk to patients, carers, and health professionals to develop a practical vision screening program.
