20,000 patients wired to predict deadly surgery risks
NCT ID NCT07300579
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study will follow 20,000 older adults (65+) after noncardiac surgery to see if a wearable sensor can predict serious complications like heart injury, severe bleeding, and infections. Researchers will collect continuous health data for 30 days after surgery and use machine learning to build early warning models. Participants will not receive any experimental treatment—the goal is to improve future care by understanding how these complications develop.
