Phone Check-Ups vs office visits: which works better after sports surgery?
NCT ID NCT05998148
Summary
This study compared whether follow-up visits by phone work as well as in-person office visits for patients recovering from sports-related surgeries. Researchers randomly assigned 90 patients to either phone or in-person check-ups at 6 weeks, 12 weeks, and 6 months after surgery. They measured recovery progress, pain levels, and patient satisfaction through surveys to see if virtual care delivers similar results to traditional visits.
