Virtual reality games reveal how mental illness alters sense of time
NCT ID NCT04432116
First seen Mar 13, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study explores how people with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder experience the passage of time differently than healthy individuals. Using virtual reality games and brain wave (EEG) monitoring, researchers will measure how patients react to waiting and distractions. The goal is to better understand these time-related symptoms, not to provide a treatment.
