First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests whether using virtual reality (VR) can help people recover better and leave the hospital sooner after major abdominal surgery. Sixty adults will either use VR for guided relaxation and mindfulness before and after surgery, or receive standard care. The goal is to see if VR can reduce pain, anxiety, and time spent in the hospital.
