First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether using a virtual reality headset for 10 minutes a day can reduce pain, anxiety, and fatigue in people receiving palliative care. Forty adults with complex needs will be randomly assigned to either a fully immersive VR experience or a control version that keeps them aware of their real surroundings. Researchers will measure changes in pain scores and physiological signals like heart rate and brain activity over one week.
