NCT ID NCT05585905
First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tested whether wearing virtual reality goggles during dental sealant placement helps children feel less anxious and behave better. Twenty healthy children aged 6 to 18 who needed at least two sealants took part. Each child received VR distraction on one side of the mouth and standard behavior guidance on the other, so they served as their own comparison. The researchers measured changes in heart rate to gauge anxiety.
