First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested whether using a virtual reality (VR) headset during egg retrieval for IVF can reduce the need for sedation and lower anxiety. Fifty-two women were randomly assigned to either VR distraction or standard verbal reassurance. The goal was to see if VR helps patients stay calm and comfortable, potentially reducing medication use and speeding recovery.
