First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests whether watching immersive 360-degree videos through a VR headset can reduce pain, anxiety, and the need for strong painkillers during dressing changes after burn surgery. About 80 adults who had skin grafts will try the VR distraction tool. The goal is to find a non-drug way to make these painful procedures easier and lower the risk of opioid dependence.
