VR headset replaces dietician in fatty liver treatment trial

NCT ID NCT06215131

Summary

This study tested whether an immersive virtual reality (VR) diet education program could help people with fatty liver disease manage their condition. Twenty participants tried the VR program, which teaches about food portions and meal prep, and compared it to traditional in-person diet counseling. Researchers measured changes in participants' weight, diet, and liver fat to see if the VR approach was a practical alternative.
