First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tests whether a virtual exercise program with a peer buddy helps older adults (60+) who have had cancer become more active and feel better. Participants are split into three groups: one gets a peer plus guidance from exercise pros, one gets peer support only, and one gets usual care. Over 10 weeks, they use a Fitbit and follow a structured plan, with check-ins up to 6 months later to see changes in exercise, social support, and quality of life.
