First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tested whether visiting a virtual museum using VR glasses during chemotherapy could help reduce pain, fatigue, and anxiety. 64 adults receiving chemotherapy were split into two groups: one group wore VR glasses to tour a virtual museum for about 20 minutes per session over five weeks, while the other group received only standard care. Results showed that the VR group reported less fatigue, pain, and anxiety compared to the control group.
